Corredor comercial típico en Japón 阪急石橋駅

En Japón la vida "gira" alrededor de las estaciones de tren, en cada una de ellas hay corredores comerciales con tiendas de todos tipos, locales comerciales (panaderías, fruterías, licorerías, estéticas, etc) y un supermercado. Estos corredores comerciales generalmente se llaman "Shopping Street" (ショッピング）.

La primera foto es del corredor comercial de la estación de Hankyu Ishibashi（阪急石橋駅）, en la ciudad de Ikeda, en Osaka（池田市、大阪）. Ahí vivía el año pasado (antes de cambiarme a Ibaraki) y también ahí está el gimnasio en donde estoy inscrito. La segunda foto es del corredor comercial Shinsaibashi, en Osaka.

After living in Japan for one year, I have realized that Japanese society is like a perfect machine. Everybody does the same things at the same time everyday. Everything is a system and everything is made thinking about that system. Japanese men work so hard during all the day and they use trains and subways. At the end of the day, Japanese men take trains and subways to go back home, and when they get off on the station they go home by bicycle or just walking.

The next picture (taken outside Ishibashi station in Osaka) represents what you can see around every train station in Japan: markets, stores, small restaurants and pubs, bakeries, etc. Comercial life in Japan depends on train stations. If you have a very good retaurant but it is far from the train station, only a few people will visit it. In Japan, time is precious, so they prefer to buy everything on the way home.
